Nicole Burke, Sr. Managing Consultant

Nicole Burke joins R3 as Sr. Managing Consultant, bringing nearly a decade of specialized expertise in solid waste management financial analysis and contract strategy. At Recology Cal North, she led rate analysis and contract negotiations for 36 major franchise agreements, representing over $400M in annual revenues, generating more than $70M in revenue growth over 7 years. Her work with municipal clients spans complex cost modeling, franchise profitability reviews, regulatory compliance analysis, and strategic presentations to City Councils and executive leadership. Nikki’s ability to translate operational requirements into defensible financial frameworks has made her a trusted resource for cities, senior management, and third-party consultants navigating franchise agreement modifications and new service implementations.

Nikki holds an MBA in Strategy from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, where she graduated as a Carter Fellow in the top 3% of her class, and brings additional depth from early career experience in investment banking and corporate strategic planning. Her analytical foundation—combining financial modeling, data analytics, and strategic planning—enables her to quickly assess complex situations across diverse environments and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
